ive never eaten so much meat in the span of a couple weeks. i usually dont eat beef that much, but lately ive been addicted to it and eating it all the time. i know its not good, cause when i get back home, or even back to andrews, its not gonna be like that. i used to HATE beef when i was growing up because i was so grossed out by it. one, its a freaking cow and thats just nasty. two, meat makes your poo smell and look like crap. but peer pressured to the max by a meat loving family, ive been eating meat. and its been GOOD. also, the boba at joy yees here in chicago is SOOOO GOOD! no other place ive ever been to has gotten close. they have so many flavors, all the stuff is made fresh and the boba is perfect consistency. its like, the flavor and love of jamba juice with boba. thats basically how good it is. and plus its BIG portions. ahhh, gonna miss that boba.
chicago and the surrounding area is probably one of my top 3 favorite places to live when i get out on my own. california was the only place i considered, but now chicago is just calling my name. im stuck between a rock and a hard place because i LOVE california. but realistically even, the schools out here are sooo much better than the ones back home even. im keeping a open mind when applying to dental school also and not just loma linda. either university of chicago or something of the sort, and then loma linda of course. ill see what happens. i just cannot get over this city and how great it is. to me its better than new york for sure.
anyway missed BF shopping today cause me my cousins and friends overslept. was okay, cause i was just gonna buy some electronic stuff and i guess that can wait. ended up heading toward evanston, which is where northwestern is located, which just so happens to be a top 10 school. oh and also one of my friends joanne goes there. we arent super close, but its always nice to see a familiar face from back home. went to eat REALLY good ice cream and took a mini tour of her campus. pretty freaking nice i might add. then spent the night chilling back at my cousins place, sad because we finished all the current dexter episodes and the next one comes out on sunday night, when we have to go back to school. also, we played monopoly. was pretty nice because i love that game and also its fun to play with other competitive people. aka my cousin joan and my cousin robin's bf, matt. he HATES losing, and so do i, played for about 2 hours or more, but i ended up winning =DDD after that we talked about our different school and life. it made my realize how much of a un-city kid i am. theres so much stuff that i dont do that is considered pretty liberal. idk. i love my family but yeah. i hope i dont necessarily become like them, even tho the type of lifestyle they lead is one that would be very easy to maintain, or one i know i could easily adapt to if i let go of my inhibition or self-control.
ahh. what a cool break, and its not even over yet. im tired, GOOD NIGHT.
had a short but really fun time in COLD "chicago" with joanne! gonna plan to come out here more often, maybe we'll see a cso concert or wicked sometime soon:
